Our task was to create a character design based on the given prompt, I chose “A Strange Lady”.

In the beginning, I have started to create faces based on basic shapes. I draw completely opposite to each other characters and then decided which Lady I liked more. I chose the First Lady because I liked the big glasses with this curly hair and also the distance between the nose and mouth.

When I decided which face would be my character I started to build the body also based on the basic shapes. I decided to pick the second body and then I started to draw the clothes for my character. I wanted to maximise the word strangest. I picked the second outfit because I liked how the fluffy cape match her hair.

Using Photoshop was different for me as I have never done character design in this program. I used the pen tool for the outline and when I was happy with the results I started with the colouring. I have decided on the colour combination of clothes with blue and pink. I added some details to her glasses to make it look like there are diamonds around them.
